This
week's Friday Four touches on topics including logo design, the importance of social media monitoring, and more.
First things first, here's a look at some content published on my own site this week:
My Friday FOUR
Four pieces of content I've consumed this past week that will influence my future blog material and challenge me to think differently about how I manage CSP - as always, I'm looking to bring you some business-specific information from outside of the world of fitness. Enjoy:
- The Ultimate Brand Blueprint: From logo design, to color schemes, to staffing and business environment, Michael Keeler leaves no stone unturned in this branding manifesto. I challenge you to find a more authentic, effective, and strategically crafted brand than the one that
the unicorns over at Mark Fisher Fitness have created. Read this and apply the concepts if you want your personal or business brand to flourish.
- The 2 Essentials of Prospecting: This piece discusses how important it is to simply keep your business on people's radars when it comes to long-term lead generation.
People need to know you exist before they can consider you part of the large pool of fitness options at the moment that they resolve to improve their health. Once you get on radars, make sure to remain visible by staying present on multiple platforms.
- Five Lessons Kids Can Teach You About Pitching Your Startup: Thinking about opening your own business? Getting ready to draw up that business plan and pitch it to potential investors? The five rules outlined here will prove to be especially helpful to you along the way. The first sentence of this piece is direct and 100% accurate: "If you can't explain your business model to kids, then you're not ready for prime time in front of
investors."
- How Smart Social Media Monitoring Leads to Sales: I was fascinated to learn that only 39% of small businesses are currently using social media to increase exposure. Even more surprising: only 6% use it to generate sales. This article explains why it is important to monitor social media closely, and
how to attack the process of doing so.
Make sure to let me know if you come across any material that you think I'd enjoy. More importantly, have a great weekend!
- Pete
