Let's start this week's Friday 4 with a look at the material I've published on my own site: - Retention Trumps Acquisition: I'd imagine you've
heard once or twice that it is cheaper to retain a client than it is to acquire a new one. In this week's post I highlight an experience we had here at CSP that reinforced this lesson.
My Friday FOUR
Four pieces of content I've consumed this past week that will influence my future blog material and challenge me to think differently about how I manage CSP - as always, I'm looking to bring you some
business-specific information from outside of the world of fitness. Enjoy: - What the Top Fitness and Rehab Experts are Doing Differently This Year: My good
friend and colleague, Mike Reinold, reached out to a number of successful fitness professionals and asked that they share some insights on their own personal development in 2016. This post will allow you to get inside of the minds of some influential fitness professionals and gym owners. As Mike says here, "If you can't think of anything you are doing different, you aren't growing."
- 14 Amazingly Free Stock Photo Websites: One of the best ways to make your blog, advertising efforts, or social media content strategy stand out is to incorporate impressive images. Unfortunately, great images can be difficult to come by, and reusing other people's material following a quick google search does not qualify as "no big deal." In fact, it is stealing. This post from
Entrepreneur.com highlights more than a dozen different places you can go to find quality visuals that have been labeled for free reuse.
- What I learned from 100 Days of Rejection (video): This just may be my favorite TED Talk to date. This 15-minute presentation will make you laugh and challenge you to think about how you counter the word "no" during your selling process. As you'll quickly learn, sometimes the word "why" is the turning point in taking a failed pitch and turning it in to converted business.
- NASA On Social Media (Buffer Social Podcast): If you're ever looking for a visually stunning Instagram account, take a peek at @NASA. In this podcast, John Yembrick, Social Media Manager at NASA, discusses his
approach to overseeing management of 500+ social media accounts. The perfectionist in me resonated with him saying that his goal is to be at, or as close as possible to flawless as it relates to execution and delivery of every single post they make.
Make sure to let me know if you come across any material that you think I'd enjoy. More importantly, have a great weekend!
-
