Let's start this week's Friday 4 with a blog I published earlier this week on my own
site: - Deliver More Than a Training Experience - It seems that some of my favorite customer service experiences take place at the grocery store. This one discusses how important it is to
make life easier for your clients, and illustrates how it doesn't take a big investment to do so.
My Friday FOUR:
Four pieces of content I've consumed this past week that will influence my future blog material and challenge me to think differently about how I manage Cressey Sports Performance - as always, I'm looking to bring you some business-specific information from outside of the world of fitness.
Enjoy: - Old Spice Ran a Baffling Ad, Entirely in French, on the Grammys -
Whether you found this ad to be funny or silly, it likely caught your attention. I was not actually tuned in to the Grammy's when I noticed three consecutive Tweets to the effect of "WTF, Old Spice?" It didn't take me long to track down the ad in question, and quickly show it to my wife. So, I have to ask you...silly or not, isn't creating something that sparks conversation the entire point of advertising in spots like this? I personally loved the approach.
- The 7 To-Do List Mistakes Could Be Derailing Your Productivity - I mentioned a couple of weeks back that I'd recently made the jump into using an
old fashioned pencil and paper daily planner. I'm pleased to report that this habit is still in play, and has dramatically reduced my stress levels going into a typical day thanks to my habit of outlining my list for the next day immediately before bed. I'm still guilty of breaking a few of the rules outlined in this article (Numbers 2, 4, and 7), but am getting better by the day.
- How to Stare Down the 4 Toughest Decisions You'll Face as an Entrepreneur - The watered down gym market is full of companies that have settled into a pattern of just getting by. Some struggle because they have a bad mix of owners, others are ignoring the need to shift their approach despite the market clearly telling them that change is
necessary, and many need to come to terms with the reality that their smartest move would be to close up shop. This article touches on each of these issues and more.
- How to Schedule a Post on
Instagram - Here's some good news for those of you who are utilizing Instagram Business Accounts. If you're committed to the idea of outlining social media content in advance, but sick of having to set reminders for publishing on "the gram," you're in luck. This piece explains how you can go about scheduling posts moving forward.
Make sure to let me know if you come across any
material that you think I'd enjoy. More importantly, have a great weekend!
- Pete
