Four pieces of content I've consumed this past week that will influence my future blog material and challenge me to think differently about how I manage Cressey Sports Performance. As always, I'm looking to bring you some business-specific information from outside of the world of fitness. Enjoy:
- The E-Myth Revisited – an Interview with Michael E. Gerber (podcast) - The one business book I've seen my business partner Eric recommend to gym
owners more than any other just may be The E-Myth Revisited. In fact, he's discussed it with me so frequently over the years that I actually haven't bothered to read it because I feel so in tune with the concepts already. This being said, I now feel compelled to pick up a copy and dive in for more after hearing the author elaborate on the concepts in this great podcast.
- Why a True Economic Recovery Starts With Financial Education - This author makes a great point in saying that outside of scratching and clawing to get our hands on PPP dollars this past year, few of us business owners have made an effort to familiarize ourselves
with existing government financial assistance programs for small business owners. There were options in place prior to the pandemic, and there will be some that exist after it as well. Give this a read if you'd like to familiarize yourself with a few of them.
- Slow Down and Write Better Emails - This important message and article was long overdue. Hopefully one of the positives that comes out of the pandemic-driven digital workplace revolution is improved email etiquette.
Make sure to let me know if you come across any material that you think I'd enjoy. More importantly, have a great weekend.
